sunday garden special

And again it's sunday. Time for the second garden special.
The hot april summer weather has left us and temperatures have
dropped between 5-10 degrees Celsius and rain has come back to
(hopefully) make the garden grow even more.

Here the lates pictures:

Clematis variations

Anemone coronaria (poppy anemone, Spanish marigold)

Hemerocallis - daylily "Stella de Oro"

Cotton Lavender
or Gray Santolina (Santolina chamaecyparissus)

Alchemilla mollis
, Lady's Mantle,

Everything has been growing well and hopefully the current wet weather will make some of my beauties even grow more.

See you next sunday....

gardening... the sunday special

There is nothing more rewarding to me then spending time in my garden. It's about keeping all those plants and little trees alive and that can be quite a challenge.
To have some idea where I go with my garden I've decided to start documenting it here with a weekly sunday special. So, here we go:

Our garden is about 6x6 meters and is surrounded by a wodden fence. When we got this place the garden had been paved with bricks and had two little corners where all season plant had been planted.

After two years and quite some visits to several garden centers it looks like this now :-)

finding life

Amusement comes in so many flavors.

Where for example would you start if someone asks you to look for life?

I've chosen the google search because if I start looking for anything I usually start there.
The result brought a smile for a moment...

Search results:

1. live and cooking ( a dutch TV show)
2. a group of people that love to study science and technology
3. a dutch site about secondlife ( the virtual world version)

Then Google suggested to look for "live" instead.

So, secondlife on third place and TV still on top. That is not a top 3 study when looking for life that I would want to follow up. Then Google calmed me down again when I saw that there were 2.170.000.000 more results. There is still hope.

The Google image results starts me up with this .....

Quite funny but I was looking for something more interesting and after a few pages I found a visual overview of a quite common " project lifecycle". Whilst nobody wants it to be true this visual overview is quite often encountered....

Conclusion:

When I started this acticle the goal was:
" to find anything interesting for the second article to publish here"
Looking for life on Google is a good place to start ( as are any other). Not that I found any life there but enough for me to read and see to fill many lifetimes and this weblog. Maybe thats why I see the internet as an enabler for an infomation junkie like myself.

The future looks bright towards me... and I like it !
Enjoy your own searches .....
